In the late 1970’s and early 1980’s technology was at a critical point with the advent of computers and new materials. The SX-70 was an instant photo product consisting of a developing gelatin that could be hand manipulated for a short time before it finalized its processing. This is what Méndez Caratini used for these series, which gave him the opportunity to continue experimenting and expanding his creative horizons.
