In the memory of my remembrances I still conserve those unforgettable images, full of action, when my father took me as a child to see the impressive auto races that were being carried out on Sundays at Ramey Air Force Base (1950s) and at the Caguas Speedway (1960s). I vividly remember when the legendary Juan Manuel Fángio visited us and how our very own Rafí Rosales defied the risky curves in the Caguas mountains with his silver colored convertible Porsche – and when he shifted gears, with his deformed right hand, the brown hair of his daughter’s doll, attached to the roll bar, freely floated in the wind.
