Slideshow: Start Stop
These three diptychs are based on the biblical theological virtues of Faith, Hope and Charity. The digital images portray 19th century santos, Puerto Rican wood carvings, in juxtaposition with contemporary popular religious belief scenes, such as: the Three King celebrations, the mulatto Virgin of Monserrate and her devotees, as well as a fishermen’s procession in honor of Virgin of Mount Carmel.
